James P. Mulhern, 76, of Cherry Hill, N.J., died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Matthew (Maureen) Bernard, Amherst, Ohio.
He was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Wilkes-Barre, son of Bernard and Retta Corrigan Mulhern, and graduated from Blair Academy Prep School. He received his bachelor's degree in business from Lehigh University.
Mr. Mulhern resided in South New Jersey for 40 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, having served as a B26 bomber pilot in Germany.
Before retiring in 1987, he was employed as an accountant by Express Marine Inc.
Mr. Mulhern was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, Haddonfield, N.J. He was a member of Big Dance Bands, 1940-1960.
His wife Julia died in 1994; brothers Donald and Robert, also preceeded him in death.
Surviving, in addition to his daughter, are son, James Jr., Medford, N.J.; daughters, Margaret Katherine Dunn, Turnersville, N.J.; Mollie Daniels, Barrington, N.J.; Nina Ann Prinz, Lorain, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; brother, Bernard, Lansdale.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 in Christ the King Catholic Church.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Thursday, 7 to 9, at Hinski-Tomlinson Funeral Home, 81 Haddon Ave., Haddonfield.
