The following notes provided by Neil Gallagher:

1920 - 1975.

Mary Sweeney was born in Loughanure 18 November 1920. Married William(Willie Joe) Gallagher in Burtonport on 7 November 1937. They havefive children. Madge, Neil and Joseph (Joe) were born in Loughanure.Patrick (Paddy) was born in Queensferry, North Wales and Michael(Mike) was born in Chester, UK.

Mary emigrated with her family to England in 1947 to a place calledHigher Ferry, Nr. Chester where Willie Joe was employed as a dairyfarmer.

Son Patrick (Paddy) Gallagher was born on 5 June1948 in North Wales.

Son Michael (Mike) Gallagher was born on 1 September 1955 in England.

Mary and family had many homes in England as Willie moved betweenjobs. Finally they settled in 3 Norley Avenue, Ellesmere Port. Marydied there 8 August 1975. Willie died in the Countess of ChesterHospital 30 March 1986. Mary is buried with Willie in Overpoolcemetery, Ellesmere Port, UK.

Note:   Notes of Neil Gallagher:
The homestead of Eamon (Edward) Gallagher was at the bottom ofMagheralosk. He is 5e on the Griffiths Valuation Map for the Townlandof Meenaduff.
The house is still there, but in a state of decline.

I have a photo of the old house from Neil.

Note:   Age listed as 66 in 1901 Census. Living with sister Anne, not married.
Anne and Mary lived in the original Gallagher home in Magheraloskwhich was at the bottom of the Magheralosk road. All traces of thehouse are now gone (Nov. 2000).

Age listed as 48 in 1901 Census. Living with sister Mary, not married.
Nancy and Mary lived in the original Gallagher home in Magheraloskwhich was at the bottom of the Magheralosk road.

Neil Galagher's notes on Nancy:
On the 1901 Census of Ireland Nancy is listed as age 48 and living inthe original Gallagher home in Magheralosk. The house is now gone(October 2000). She did not marry.
Grace McLean nee Gallagher (Catherine, Bridget, Peadar)remembers her grandmother Bridget referring to an Aunt Nancy inMagheralosk and how Bridget's two aunts Nancy and Máire, sometimestook her to Magheralosk after she was orphaned in the 1870's.
Nancy registered the death of her father Donal 26 March1890.
The Records Office lists Nancy died 20 January 1927, aspinster, in Magheralosk at the age of 80 years. Patrick Gallagher wasthe informant.

MURDER IN GWEEDORE.
Farmer Shot Dead in his home.
Outrage by Masked Men.
A shocking crime is reported from Gweedore, West Donegal, where onSaturday night a middle-aged farmer named John Gallagher was shot deadin his own home.
It appears that between seven and eight o'clock a masked man enteredhis house and asked him to come outside. Gallagher refused, whereuponhis assailant drew a revolver and shot him.
No motive can be assigned for the crime. Gallagher was between 40 and50 years of age.
